Granny M Essentials was established in 1990. In 2006 16 years on I took on Granny M Essentials, by now a successful mail order and craft fair business, my first aim was to continue to develop and manufacture high quality natural bath and body products converting as many of our items to an organic status, removing any parabens or SLS or SLES from them and to make them totally natural remove all artificial fragrances and colourings, replacing them with the natural fragrance and colourings of the essential oils. We also set out to remove all traces of Palm Oil from our products, replacing it with a plant derived alternative.
In the first year we expanded the business to include a wholesale side to the business. We successfully launched our hospitality range of complimentary toiletries in April 2007, with securing the luxury China Fleet Country Club at Saltash as one of clients. We have also launched several new products in the last 12 months and ensured that 99% of our products are now SLS/SLES and Paraben Free, along with 100% of our products now artificial colouring and fragrance free. As of April 1st 2008 all of our Shower Gels and Shampoo's will be made with fully certified Organic Ingredients.
We have also changed our packaging to make them all 100% recyclable and increased our accessories range to include natural sea sponges and egyptian loofahs.
What does the future hold?
Well 2008 brings a new look to Granny M Essentials range of skincare and bath products, We are please to launch THE NATURAL BATH & BODY STORE by Granny M Essentials, this is the retail arm of Granny M Essentials. The Granny M Essentials name will stay and is now the manufacturing arm of the company. Even though our business has seen growth we are still a family business based in Cornwall, we still believe in the ethics of the business to provide high quality natural bath and body products to our customers at value for money prices. However you will see subtle changes to the business, a brighter website, new look brochures. It also includes some new ranges to our product list, Including a new sports range of products and a new baby range of products. The re-branding of our business will be spread out over the forthcoming 12 months and the new look website is just part of that image over-haul.
